Are you stuck working a job you don’t love anymore? Do you want to find a way to work from home with the skills you already have? The Beginners Checklist to becoming a Virtual Assistant is a great way to get started.

When I started Inspired Bliss Creative, I had no idea where to start. I began scouring the internet looking for ways I could make a career I loved and was able to start with the skills I have.

I will be honest it was no easy feat. I started out thinking I would be a painter and sell my work online. Then there was the candle and soap idea. Nope, that wasn’t for me. Then I took a course in Pinterest Management, and I got excited. This was it I knew it.

Turns out that wasn’t entirely it for me. It did not light me up the way I was looking for it to. Pinterest is one of the services I offer but I knew I could do more.

Back to the Google machine and Pinterest boards, I went. Enter Virtual Assistance. I knew this was something that I could do and do well. But how do I even get started?

After I spent months looking for the best way to do this. I decided to invest in myself and take a full Virtual Assistance course. The course was great! It helped me so much! However, it was a big investment. I know that not everyone is able to make that investment.

I decided to create something. A tool that could be used to start your very own Virtual Assistant business without all the fuss.

Beginners Checklist is Here

The Beginners Checklist to becoming a Virtual Assistant has 5 sections to help you get started. It is broken down in a way that makes it simple for you to be confident in starting your business.

What Services to Offer?

This was one of the hardest parts for me to figure out. I am still to this day thinking about doing more. Everyone is going to tell you to niche down. It is not that easy when you are starting out.

What skills do you have? What are you already doing in your current job? Can these skills be transferred into services that you can offer? Really dig into what you like and what you know you can do well and make those your services.

How to set your pricing.

Money is often a tough subject. If you are like me, you probably are thinking how I will ever make enough money this way. Are my services really worth that amount?

It is important to know that your services are worth it. There are several businesses that are going to be in need of those services.

Marketing and Finding clients.

This is often the part where people get frustrated and give up. I am not going to lie to you and say oh it’s so easy you will be fully booked out in no time.

I will say that it does take time and you have to do the work. You also have to find the channels that work for you. What works for one person won’t work for the next. As a Virtual Assistant, you will have to spend the time exploring your best route to getting clients.

Get Organized

When you do get your first client you want to be ready for it. You should have your systems in place for smooth onboarding. Some things to consider are contracts, invoicing, how you will communicate, and your scope of work. My Favorites include Dubsado, Trello, and Google Workspace.

Remember to make things as easy for your client as possible. They are hiring you to help them get their time back for their business.

In Conclusion

Starting a Virtual Assistant business is going to take some work but, in the end, it is going to be worth it. Get this handy checklist to get started on your Virtual Assistant Journey today.
